Specifying how line points are to be reduced

Percentage Reduction

To access this dialog:

  • Activate the Edit ribbon and select Condition | Condition | Reduce Points

This dialog is used in connection with the Reduce Points command (Design | Condition | Reduce Points) to reduce the number of points on a line. The value supplied is a percentage of the overall number of original points. If this dialog is left empty, and the Reduce Points command is run, the maximum number of points will be removed from the line without affect the overall shape of the original string.

Field Details:

Percentage for Point Reduction: enter a percentage value here to reduce the original number of points on the string by.
